Canoed the 20+ miles from Lake Minnetonka basically to the Mississippi yesterday. such a great time! Classic, Classic Minneapolis experience. the conditions were perfect, the beers tasted great, the sun was out, the company was great (an old high school buddy). I can't believe I had never done it before!

and, a work update...I start orientation at HCMC on June 2nd! yeah! I'll be having a party in the party room downstairs at my local watering hole, The Green Mill, Too, in uptown! A friend came into town for a visit from Scottsdale who I haven't seen for a while. Got together with a hodgepodge of friends on Friday night for some beers (non-alcoholic beverages for those prego ladies) and pizza only to wash them both down with some late night Karaoke. I'm having a great weekend. I hope you are, too.

thanks for sharing...everything..and the pic too..sometimes people don't share enough......so much so that i get bored...

i'm always amazed with what u do for life....

sometimes i wish i could be like u too...just running around and enjoy nature... skiing, climbing....and this ...seems like u know just how to do everything! it's awesome. beautiful. refreshing. amazing. sorry for being upfront.

I know what you mean by the upfront thing. I feel the same way sometimes, but that's the beauty of the digital world...the limitations and repercussions for wearing your heart on your sleeve are so much fewer. thanks for the heartfelt comment. that's very cool. it was a blast...and the solid time spent with a good buddy was great.

I canoed the Minnehaha years ago with Hyland and Jeff Lievers. We stuck Eddie Kline in a canoe with Dylan DiPrima and his girlfriend. We drank many beers over the course of the trip, and proceeded to swamp the canoe about a dozen times. Good times...

Did you yell at Krengel when you passed through his backyard?

Sounds like a blast, Pat. best of luck with the orientation. Congrats on the position, BTW, if i haven't said so before. I am in one of those time warps where I can't recall what I have done and what I have been meaning to do. Where'd that list go?

you are either so granola or i am so New York. or maybe i'm granola with a cosmopolitan twist. i have no idea where these tangents are coming from. good luck on orientation.

that's pretty funny. I don't think it's the granola or the cosmopolitan thing that carries the most weight specifically. I think the most important thing is not being into anything in the middle...either the city or the middle of f'n nowhere. that's how I like it.
